Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist(RCCA)

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) technology is a parking safety system that prevents the vehicle from colliding into obstacles approaching from the side when the driver attempts to reverse-park the vehicle by warning the driver and controlling the braking function of the vehicle.

RCCA uses its blind-spot radar to compute the relative position/relative speed of any obstacles approaching from the side. If it anticipates a collision with an obstacle, the system warns the driver with visual/audible alarms and brakes the vehicle to prevent the collision.

Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist(PCA)

Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA) technology is a parking safety system that prevents the vehicle from colliding with nearby obstacles when the driver parks the vehicle/exits a parking spot or when the vehicle is traveling at low speeds by warning the driver and controlling the braking function of the vehicle.

PCA uses its blind-spot radar and rear-facing/forward-facing/forward corner-facing cameras/ultrasonic waves to compute the relative position/relative speed of any nearby obstacles. If it anticipates a collision with an obstacle, the system warns the driver with visual/audible alarms and brakes the vehicle to prevent the collision.

Remote Smart Parking Assist(RSPA)

Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) is a parking assistance system that reduces the burden on the driver when parking the vehicle/exiting from a parking spot by parking/maneuvering the vehicle away under remote control with the driver standing outside of the vehicle.

RSPA uses side-facing ultrasonic sensors to identify the available parking spot, uses its forward-facing/side-facing/rear-facing ultrasonic sensors to park the vehicle by controlling the steering/acceleration/deceleration/gear-changing functions, while avoiding nearby obstacles. The driver can choose from parallel parking, reverse right-angle parking, and forward right-angle parking. RSPA also uses its forward-facing/side-facing/rear-facing ultrasonic sensors to exit a parking spot by controlling the steering/acceleration/deceleration/gear-changing functions, while avoiding nearby obstacles.
